Meet the Owner, Justin Hillsten

I’m a chemist by degree, but a maker by obsession. After starting my career as a teacher and then as a process engineer, I fell in love with building physical products in my downtime. In 2014 I got my first hands-on experience with a laser cutter and 3D printer. That day, I knew my life would never be the same. I was hooked!

In 2016, a simple project for my dad evolved into a consumer plumbing products company, and over the next ten years, into running multiple consumer product brands. Today, I help others shape their ideas into a physical reality. I specialize in design and prototyping small functional products, as well as small business consulting.

What sets me apart from other designers? I'm a machinist and a business owner too! I understand what it takes to mass-manufacture products both domestically and overseas. I've been both the marketing and operations engine for all my businesses. I know what it's like to fulfill thousands of orders of a product in a single month. It's exhilarating... and I want that for you!
